The San Diego chapter of Young Catholic Professionals (YCP) will gather Tuesday, June 12th, at 7 p.m. for its next monthly Executive Speaker Series featuring Marie Coronel, reporter for KGTV ABC 10NEWS. The event is FREE and open to all young professionals in their 20s and 30s and is usually attended by people from all industries!

ABOUT MARIE CORONEL
REPORTER FOR KGTV ABC 10NEWS
Marie Coronel is a Reporter for KGTV ABC 10NEWS. She is the proud daughter of Filipino parents. Coronel graduated from Saint Charles Catholic School in South San Diego and Eastlake High School in Chula Vista, and received a Bachelor'S Degree in Journalism and a Minor in Political Science from California State
Prior to returning home to Southern California, Marie was a reporter and anchor at WTKR in Norfolk, Virginia and WHAG in Hagerstown, Maryland. Before that, Marie worked as an assignment editor at KTNV in Las Vegas, Nevada. Marie got her start in television news, working as a reporter and host for Adelphia Cable in Simi Valley. In addition to news reporting, she's also worked for the Jimmy Kimmel
Marie is a member of the Asian American Journalists Association (AAJA) and is active in the Filipino-American community. Outside of news, Marie is active in FIAT, the South Bay San Diego Catholic school collaboration.
Marie is a big San Diego sports fan and loves being back in her hometown cheering on her favorite teams, like the Padres. Marie enjoys family days with her husband and their three sons.
