The San Diego chapter of Young Catholic Professionals (YCP) will gather Tuesday, February 13th, at 7 p.m. for its next monthly Executive Speaker Series, featuring Mike Murphy, CEO Sharp. The event is FREE and open to all young professionals in their 20s and 30s and is usually attended by people from all industries!

YCP is one of the nation's fastest-growing Catholic organizations with chapters in cities across the country and now finally in San Diego! Join other vibrant, Catholic young professionals at this free monthly event.

ABOUT Mike Murphy:

Mike Murphy is president and chief executive officer of Sharp HealthCare. Murphy oversees a workforce of over 18,000 employees, 2,600 affiliated physicians and 1,800 volunteers. A Southern California native, Murphy is a graduate of California State University at Long Beach and is a certified public accountant. In 2005, he served as chairperson of the board of the Greater San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce. In 2016, he served as chairperson of the board of directors for the State of California Chamber of Commerce and remains on the board today. In 2014, Murphy was named a San Diego Business Hall of Fame Laureate by Junior Achievement and in 2016, was named Health Care Leader of the Year by the United Cerebral Palsy of San Diego.

Mike and his wife are members of the Church of Nativity in Rancho Santa Fe. In addition, they are members of Legatus, a national organization for Catholic business leaders; and they are members of the Equestrian Order of the Knights of the Holy Sepulchre whose mission is to protect Christianity in the Holy Land. But Mike’s family, including his three daughters, Mary Elizabeth, Leah and Kelly are what he treasures most.
